Lovely spot for a long lunch. Staff was friendly and the food was delicious. Lots of sandwich options, it was hard to choose! Everything was full of flavor! Great spot on a quiet street. If you haven't been...go. You won't be sorry!

Yum!! We stopped here for lunch based on reviews and our meal was delicious. The chicken wrap and salmon salad were things we were order again. Definitely suggest this place. Service was excellent!

What a true Gem. We chose the Risotto w/salmon, and Chicken marsala. We started with a Caesar and Wedge salads and ended sharing their ‘fried cheesecake’ desert. All of the food was delicious and plentiful, and the service was outstanding. We will definitely be back.

This is one of the best dining out experiences we've had in awhile! The food was so, so good! We try fried green tomatoes whenever they're offered, and these are the best we've had! The pasta salad and baked mac & cheese are terrific! I got the bistro burger and was pleasantly surprised that it was actually one of the best burgers that I've had! It's a small restaurant, but nicely appointed. Very clean and welcoming. Our waitress, Emily, was so friendly and personable! Head on over to 6th in downtown Bristol! You won't regret it!

I was not expecting such an incredible culinary experience! Total gem of a place in the heart of Appalachia. I’ve eaten in some pretty high-end restaurants from NYC to Vancouver and this place is definitely up in my top 5. Total work of art, every bite, and the waitress was friendly and helpful and we never had to wait for anything or wonder where she was. Highly recommend!!

We just happened upon this place through a quick Google exploration without any expectations. Located on a dark side street in Downtown Bristol, the Bistro is a warm and inviting small place with great service, excellent drink selections- especially bourbon and cider!- and a limited but well executed menu. We split the Tarragon sauced Filets accompanied by homestyle mash potatoes and French green beans flecked with pork belly?. All tremendous. Add the beet salad and caesar salad with an excellent chunky dressing and we enjoyed every bit of the experience. Hayley was a particularly delightful server with some very fashionable eyeglass bling. Walk to the nearby eccentric Sessions hotel and take in a movie at the drive in and that is a day and night well spent!

There is parking nearby and the atmosphere inside the bistro is cozy and warm. We ordered the Caesar Salad with chicken and a Steak Sandwich. The proteins were very tasty and seasoning on point. We did wish the portions were a little larger though! The service was outstanding and memorable experience overall.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Knoxville, and we are so glad we did. Everything was delicious, reasonably priced and our waitress was so nice. If we lived in Bristol, we would be regular customers. P.S. Wish we also had a picture of our dessert - brownie with soft ice-cream.

Worth the Stop? Absolutely. Worth Going Back? Definitely. Bistro on 6th was the other restaurant that consistently appeared on Bristol’s “must visit” lists, and after dining there, I completely understand why. This is a true bistro experience. Don’t come expecting a massive dining room or an elaborate production. The space is intimate, charming, and limited in size, so if you’re planning to visit on a busy evening, reservations are a very good idea. The service was excellent, friendly, and helpful without being intrusive. We chose to sit outside, which is usually our preference, and it turned out to be a perfect evening. Being located near one of the local brewery venues meant we caught some of the live music drifting down the street, adding a little extra atmosphere to the meal. The standout entrée was the champagne pork, which came highly recommended and absolutely lived up to the hype. It was one of the most complete and satisfying plates I’ve had in quite some time. The mashed potatoes and gravy were outstanding, and while the green beans weren’t what I traditionally think of as Southern-style green beans, they were expertly seasoned and prepared with just enough texture to remain interesting. The fried green tomatoes featured some of the best toppings I’ve encountered on the dish. The tomatoes themselves were a little smaller and more lightly coated than some regional versions, but the overall flavor more than made up for it. The pickle board was another winner, especially the pimento cheese, which was exceptional and worth ordering all by itself. Our only miss was the brown butter pasta. However, that was likely on us rather than the kitchen. We made modifications based on our personal preferences, and in doing so probably removed some of the ingredients that gave the dish its balance and character. The pasta itself was cooked perfectly. If there’s a lesson there, it’s probably to trust the chef—ingredients are usually included for a reason. Worth the St
